2012 Jaguar XF - the XF comes of age

Exactly as expected, and with pretty much all the changes we predicted, Jaguar has launched the 2012 Jaguar XF and 2012 Jaguar XFR at the New York Motor Show. Probably best to start with the biggest news, certainly in terms of future sales, which is the arrival of the 2.2 litre Diesel XF, a move which should see sales of the already hugely successful XF double.
Volkswagen has revealed its latest design study, the Concept A, a crossover between sports car and SUV. Like the conceptually similar Concept T of 2004, the Concept A is based on the Golf platform, marrying coupe-like profile with raised stance. Hyundai today showed off the new i10 city car - one of the most popular small cars in the UK during last year's scrappage incentive scheme. As well as a cosmetic pick-me-up, the new 2011 Hyundai i10 gains a pair of new engines with stop-start tech for emissions nudging just under the magic 100g/km CO2 mark.
